Dear Parents,
Our 7th Annual Art and Music show, held on April 11th, was once again a tremendous success. Events such as this could not happen in the school without the help and team work provided by our students, staff, and parents; I thank everyone for all their assistance. A special thank you goes to Mr. Strouse for the wonderful choral production presented by the 4th and 5th Grade Chorus; to Mrs. Tynan for the outstanding effort she put forth by inspiring every student at the Horbelt School to be an artist and by making sure each and every student had their artwork displayed; and to all the related arts teachers, Mrs. Harris, Mrs. Farr, and Mrs. Kadlubowski, who by their own contributions made the evening a memorable occasion.

New Jersey ASK testing for Grades 3, 4, and 5 is taking place this month. Both students and teachers have been diligently working through the year so it is anticipated that all will go well, and our students will again achieve success on the tests. Information on schedule changes for specials and lunches have been sent home with your child. Please refer to those letters for specific information. Since the tests are held in the morning, before lunch and recess, please make sure that your child arrives to school on time during their testing week. Children arriving late during that week will not be permitted entrance into their classroom until the test for that day is completed. They will be required to stay in the Main Office during that time.
The Drama Club students have been diligently working on their parts under Mr. Strouse’s direction during the school year, and I fully anticipate another outstanding drama production. I look forward to seeing as many of you as who will be able to come to the evening performance at the Horbelt School on May 22nd .
Should you have any questions or concerns, please remember that my door is always open.
Sincerely,
Joseph J. Saxton, Jr., Ed. D.
