June, 2013
DearParents/Guardians:
It hard to believe that it is already June! I am very proud of all our students and the work they have accomplished this year. They have been impressive in their classrooms and outstanding on our fields. It is a pleasure to see the creativity and energy in extracurricular activities that support our school and help them determine their interests.
Recently 6th 7th and 8th grade Academic Bowl teams attended the Carl W. Goetz tournament of academics. Twenty one school teams from Ocean and Monmouth Counties participated in the competition. Our teams were challenged by talented competitors and respectfully placed in the top 10% of the tournament. This event continues to be a rewarding experience for our middle school students. Congratulations to all of the participants and their advisors!
During the summer months our students are required to do summer reading and math assignments. These assignments will be on the district website in the near future. Sports camp registration forms and fall sports sign-up information is also available on-line as well.
