Dear Dunfee School Community,
We will soon be spending time with family and friends to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. At this special time, we have much to be thankful for at LMDS. Upon entering the building, visitors immediately sense the warmth and spirit of cooperation. Parents, the community, the Board of Education, administration, and staff members are partners in education and work diligently to ensure the success of all children. Teachers provide an academically challenging curriculum where risk taking is applauded and encouraged. We are fortunate to have an active PTA who graciously volunteers their time for the benefit of the students in our school. I know that I am thankful to be part of a school family that values education and strives to do what is best for students on a daily basis.
As always, we have many activities taking place this month. Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for the week of November 16th and we will be operating on the shortened day schedule from November 16th to November 19th. In addition, after-school activities begin on Tuesday, November 10th and clubs run until 3:35 PM. Our kindergartners will kick off the Thanksgiving holiday with a small feast to be held in our multi-purpose room on Wednesday, November 25th. As you can see, we have a busy November!
