Dear Dunfee School Community,
As summer turns to fall, students at the Dunfee School are fully engulfed in the learning process. Our kick-off parade on September 18th was a huge success and a shining example of the partnerships that have been established with the entire community. The Superintendent, Board of Education, Township Committee, police department, fire department, PTA, Dunfee Retirees, the Barnegat Education Foundation and the high school marching band participated in the parade along with the entire Dunfee School family. Many parents, friends, and family members lined the streets of the parade route and the support of our students and staff was overwhelming. Needless to say, we look forward to a great school year and will continue to work together as a team to ensure our students experience success in all school settings.
It was great seeing everyone at Back to School Night! Another opportunity to forge the partnership between home and school will be provided during Parent/Teacher Conferences in November. Information regarding conference week will be shared by mid-October.
On Friday, October 2nd, we will be celebrating Grandparent’s Day. Grandparents are invited to visit our school and join their grandchild(ren) in the special area classes. A notice regarding this event was sent home in the Tuesday folder on September 22nd.
Please note that school will be closed on Columbus Day, October 12th, for all students.
