A resident of Ocean County for most of my life, I completed my studies in Special Education at Rowan University. Prior to coming to the Barnegat School District, I served as classroom teacher and music director at Alpha School in Lakewood, and as an inclusion teacher in the Brick School District.
My husband Rick and I married in 2000, and we have two beautiful children, ages 17and 15. In our home we many rescue animals, which the kids help us care for.
I have a great passion for helping special needs children maximize their potential, and develop social and collaborative skills that will serve them well in the years to come. As an educator, your involvement as a parent is both welcome and appreciated, and we will be communicating throughout the year to ensure the best learning experience for your child.
With that in mind, welcome to the 2021/2022 year at the Joseph T Donahue School, and we look forward to a great year together!
