Hola BENGAL fam!!!

       I am always happy to communicate with students and parents, so please don’t hesitate to contact me! In particular, I always try to encourage open communication between myself and both students and parents. For anyone that needs to communicate with me, e-mailing me will produce the quickest response. However, I am certainly willing to return a phone call or set up a meeting as well.

My Teaching Philosophy:

           I love to make Spanish classes a fun and exciting experience for my students with interactive and hands-on lessons and plenty of communicative activities and cooperative learning.  Our goals in the department are to improve reading, speaking and writing comprehension levels throughout the course of the year and to be able to demonstrate growth. Procifiency level is key to improving in the language!  While it is important that the students learn the language, it is equally as important to learn about the Hispanic culture to gain awareness and insight into a culture that may be different from their own.  

        My expectations for students reflect skills and characteristics required to succeed in the real world such as punctuality, responsibility, organization, respect, fairness, working with others, etc.  Therefore, I firmly believe that it is not only my job to teach the subject matter at hand, but also to enforce and apply to students the daily values and standards in accordance with the BHS Mission Statement to prepare them for future pathways and to be productive members of society.
