Head Coach: Tammy Nicolini
Assistant Coach: Joe TagliaviaCoach Nicolini began her coaching career in 1988 at Pinelands Regional Middle School. After a few years, she moved on to be the Middle School Coach at Lawrence High School, then became their Assistant Varsity Coach in 1994. Coach Nicolini moved on to become the Middle School Coach at Southern Regional for two years. In 2013-2014, she then became the Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Barnegat. In addition to coaching, she is also a Health & Physical Education teacher at Barnegat High School.
In 2016-17 she received the Hoop Group Headquarters Coach of the Year Award. In 2017-18 she was voted Division Coach of the Year by Asbury Park Press, Shore Sports Network, and Shore Conference Coaches Association.
Since Coach Nicolini took over the program, Barnegat has had their first appearance in school history in the Shore Conference Tournament and has made it to the Semi-Finals in the NJSIAA Tournament.The 2016-2017 season was the first time in school history to host a state game and win. In the 2017-2018 season, we did one better and won our first two state games and made our way to the NJSIAA SJ Group 2 Semi Finals. This program will continue to exceed expectations with every season that comes and goes.
