• The CSCS Ukulele Club is a before school activity that meets once a week.  Students will learn the basics of ukulele playing from proper posture and instrument/hand placement to chords.  Students may use the school ukuleles or may bring their own from home.  The Ukulele Club usually performs at the Night of the Arts Spring Concert which will be held in April.

Many students want to purchase ukuleles to be able to practice at both home and at lessons. For beginners, I recommend soprono or concert ukuleles due to the size. Below I have listed some models and aproximate prices.

    Beginner Ukuleles
    Kala KA-15S  $55
    Aklot AKS21 (Soprano) $55
    Aklot AKC23 (Concert) $60
    Donner DUS-1 Soprano $55
    Hricane UKS-1  $60
    Hricane UKS-1 Concert $70
    Cordoba 15CM (Concert) $100
    Luna (Soprano) $60
    Luna Tattoo (Concert)  $100
**I also recommend getting a travel/gig bag. These range in price from $ 15 to $ 40, which is well worth the investment to protect the instrument.
Below are a few books that can be helpful for the beginning ukulele student.
