Welcome to First Grade

 I am so excited to start a new school year with your child.  So to get us off to a great start, I would like to share some important information about our class.   

This  year I will be co-teaching Language Arts with Mrs. Rose and Math with Miss Killenger for the first part of the year and Mrs. Walaszak for the end of the year. Our reading curriculum is called Wonders and we supplement our phonics with  Rime magic.  Our math program is called Gomath.  Please check folders each night as this is how important information goes back and forth from school to home and home to school.  READ packets will go home for students to practice skills when not in the classroom.  All students should also be logging on to Google Classroom for additional assignments.

I am excited to be using Class DoJo as a parent communication tool and behavior management system.  If possible please join me on this app to receive classroom information, reminders, pictures of things happening in our class and to review your child’s progress.
