Business & Technology
Barnegat Township School District is committed to providing students the opportunity to demonstrate understanding about how the economy works, their own role in the economy, how to develop the necessary skills to effectively manage personal finances by the time they graduate, and a strong foundation of skills through educational technology. The New Jersey Department of Education requires that students complete five credits in 21st Century Life and Careers, or Career & Technical Education (N.J.A.C. 6A:8-5.1).
The Barnegat High School’s Business and Technology department offers a wide range of classes to support the NJDOE requirement. These courses encourage students to explore areas of interest and develop 21st Century skills that are vital in today’s workforce.

*Courses fulfill the Financial, Economic, Business and Entrepreneurial Literacy graduation requirement by NJDOE.

These courses concentrate on providing students with career possibilities, skills needed for the business/technological world, and subject content for success in a business/technology program at the college level. A few of these courses require enrollment in a course prior entrance into another. Refer to the Program of Studies for more information on prerequisites for these courses.
