• The BD program is one that is near and dear to my heart. After almost 20 years of working with students with learning and behavioral disabilities, I can't imagine teaching anyone or anywhere else. The uniqueness of the program reflects the individual needs of each student in my class. As every student in my class has an IEP, I work to make sure that each student also has a program designed to meet his or her own needs and strengths.

The curriculum revolves around topics in science, history, math, english, and life skills. Students work with texts that are current, high interested, and leveled so that all of my resources are accessible by each student. I make sure that NO CHILD is left behind. Life skills are also incorporated in the program as students learn skills and tools necessary to be successful when they become active members of the community. Class projects are incorporated into each lesson that are fun and reflect the learning we do each week!

Please click on the Syllabus tab for an in-depth look into the behavior modification program utilized in the classroom. It goes into how the points/days/level system works and how students can strive to be successful in my classroom!
