Ms. Annette Mastrolia-Tynan

As far back as I can remember I have had the soul of an artist. Born and raised in New Jersey, I grew up 12 miles outside of NYC. I am a graduate of Ramapo College and Georgian Court University. I began my career in the Graphic Arts field. While employed by McGraw-Hill Publishing Company in NYC, my positions included Senior Design Supervisor of the Book Division and Art Director for the Advertising and Promotion Department. In my mid-forties, I embarked on a new career in art education. I am most proud of my role as a mother. I have had the most joyous and wondrous journey raising my two sons. My eldest son is a graduate of Brandeis University and is employed by Bank of New York Mellon. He resides in Houston, Texas with his lovely wife and their beautiful daughter, my first grandchild. My youngest son graduated from Muhlenberg College and spent the following two years living and working in Florence, Italy. He returned home and is now in his second year of studies at New York Law School. I love history, particularly the WWII era. I have a passion for art history and all things old. I am nostalgic. I love movies, a good book and creating things. I was raised to believe in the importance of education, hard work and always doing one’s best. It is my goal as your child’s art teacher to nurture in them an appreciation for the arts, as well as inlighten them to art and it's historical signifigance through the ages.
