Ms. Annette Mastrolia-Tynan

As far back as I can remember I have had the soul of an artist. Born and raised in New Jersey, I grew up 12 miles outside of NYC. I am a graduate of Ramapo College and Georgian Court University. I began my career in the Graphic Arts field. While employed by McGraw-Hill Publishing Company in NYC, my positions included Senior Design Supervisor of the Book Division and Art Director for the Advertising and Promotion Department. In my mid-forties, I embarked on a new career in art education. I am most proud of my role as a mother. I have had the most joyous and wondrous journey raising my two sons. My eldest son is a graduate of Brandeis University and is employed by Bank of New York Mellon. He resides in Houston, Texas with his lovely wife and is expecting their first child, my first grandchild, this coming July. My youngest son graduated from Muhlenberg College and has spent the last two years living and working in Florence, Italy. He returns home this July and starts New York Law School in August. I love history, particularly in the WWII era. I have a passion for art history and all things old. I am nostalgic. I love movies, a good book and creating things. I was raised to believe in the importance of education, hard work and always doing one’s best. It is my goal as your child’s art teacher to nurture both an appreciation for the arts and knowledge of art history in all my students.
