• Welcome to the Official Webpage of the Russell O. Brackman Middle School Jazz Band

     

    The Russell O. Brackman Middle School Jazz Band is a competitive extra-curricular activity that has demonstrated a tradition of excellence through performance in the Barnegat Community. Through hard work and diligent practice, the Jazz Band has received many awards, 'Superior,' & 'Excellent' ratings. The Jazz Band will participate in annual Winter and Spring Concerts, as well as local festivals and competitions in the Jersey Shore area.

    In order to participate in the Jazz Band, students must successfully pass an Audition in the beginning of the school year.

    Students must provide their own transportation to school for Jazz Band Rehearsals! Upon arrival to school, please wait in the ROBMS Main Foyer to be picked up by Mr. Gagnon. Students must report ON TIME to all Jazz Band Rehearsals. Any questions or concerns, please email Mr. Gagnon.

    Rehearsals:

    -Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 6:50-7:35 am (Before School) in the Band Room (Room G-154) starting in October. (Exact Date TBA)

    • Southern Regional Jazz Band Festival - March 2023 - Exact Date - To Be Announced - 2:30-6:00 pm - Southern Regional High School (Manahawkin, NJ)
    • Mainland Regional Jazz Band Festival - April 2023 - Exact Date - To Be Announced - 2:30-8:00 pm - Mainland Regional High School (Linwood, NJ)
    • ROBMS & BHS Combined Jazz Band Concert (2nd Annual Barnegat Jazz Night) - Tuesday May 2023  -
    • Music in the Parks Festival - Friday May 2023 - All Day Trip - Exact Performance Location - To Be Announced; Six Flags Great Adventure (Jackson, NJ)
    • One Barnegat Music & Arts Festival Performance - Wednesday June 2023 - 6:00 pm - Barnegat High School - Times to Be Announced
