The Environmental Club will be selling raffle tickets during lunches for $1.00. The winner will win a gift basket of goodies. The money raised will be given to Project Terrapin to buy turtle extenders for commercial crab pots. Each year thousands of Diamondback Terrapins get trapped and drown in commercial crab pots. Please help save our endangered Diamondback Terrapins!
The Brackman Environmental Club and Project Terrapin of MATES are sponsoring a Turtle Crossing Sign Contest. Any student interested in creating a sign should see Mrs. Tanner for information and contest rules.
The winner will be recognized by MATES, win a pizza party and a $50.00 gift card to a store of their choice.
Signs will be distributed throughout the area to locations where Terrapins are frequently run over while attempting to cross the road.
There's Elf on the Shelf, there's Elf the movie and even Elf the Play. All the way from the North Pole, he's just arrived after his long journey - Brackman's very own Elf with the familiar face!
Starting this morning - Brackman's Elf will be hidden in our building each day. The first student to bring it to Mrs. Holly in the library will receive a WAWA gift card. He will be hidden every day until we leave for the holiday break, so there are 10 chances to win! Students - you can not leave class just to look for the elf and you can only win once. Good luck and have fun over the next 10 days!
