District Health Benefits Coverage

    • Employees are eligible for health benefits through the Barnegat Board of Education when the following occurs:
      • Upon hire and eligibility for benefits
      • Due to loss of other health benefits coverage*
      • Open enrollment**
    • Eligible employees can modify their coverage when the following qualifying life event occurs:
      • Marriage, Birth/Adoption of a Child, Divorce, Death of a Dependent*
      • Open enrollment**

    *If loss of coverage/qualifying life event occurs or will occur, please contact the Benefits Department within 30 days of the date of loss of coverage to enroll in Barnegat BOE health benefits.  After 30 days, enrollment can only take place during the open enrollment period.

    **Open Enrollment occurs annually in the Spring
