Mrs. Lori O'Brien RN, BSN, CSN

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Lori O'Brien. Some of you may remember me as Ms. Scully, and I am the Joseph T. Donahue School Nurse. I joined the Donahue Family in December 2010. I have been a Registered Nurse for nearly 32 years. I earned my nursing degree from Brookdale Community College in 1988. I earned my bachelors in nursing in 2009 from Kean University and my school nurse certification through Rutgers University 2011.

I have worked in various health settings such as medical / surgical, wound care, pulmonary, PCCU (post cardiac care unit), long term care, workman’s comp and liability. I have worked in the school health setting part time since 2005. During this time I earned my BSN and School Nurse Certification.

My goal is to have important health related information on this site each month for the 2020/2021 school year. I know this will be a strange adjustment for all of us. If we all have a little patience and work together we can get through anything! Please begin to check this site often. I enjoy getting to know the students and their parents here at Donahue. Please feel free to call the nurse’s office any time with any questions you may have at 660-8900 ext. 8004.

Wishing you all a healthy and happy new school year!

Mrs. Lori O'Brien RN, BSN, CSN
