The 2019/2020 school year has gotten off to a wonderful start! It has been a pleasure meeting all of you and getting to know your children. I could not have been happier with our school opening and how the first couple of days have gone. The students have been amazing, truly seem excited, and happy to be back. Our teachers and support staff are already hard at work meeting the needs of our students and getting them acclimated to their new routines. I would like to personally thank everyone for your understanding and working with us on our drop off and pick up procedures. Because of your support and cooperation, we have been able to get the students into the building safely, feed them breakfast in the cafeteria, and get them into class on time to start the educational process with limited distractions.
As we move forward with the school year, please remember to contact your child’s teacher and keep the lines of communication going (via teacher web pages, e-mail, phone, notes, etc.). Open communication between parents and teachers is the most effective way to ensure a successful and productive school year for all. I would also like to remind everyone to please continue to check the school calendar located on our website for upcoming school and district events. Also, please follow me on Twitter via @JToddings for updates, news and school highlights. Thank you again for your continued support!
September 4th – 6th will be early dismissal days for students.
Starting September 9th we will be on a full day schedule.
We have many exciting events scheduled for this year. Please follow me on Twitter at @JToddings or check our website for all of the latest information concerning the Donahue School.
Our Back to School Night will be on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 6:30pm.
As always, thank you for your support and commitment to your child/children's education.
Josh Toddings, Principal
