U.S. History I
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! We have made it through one of the craziest academic school years I have ever experienced in my teaching career but guess what? WE DID IT! And we will do it again no matter what curve balls are thrown our way. We are resilient and resilence is what America is founded upon. This year will you will learn about all of the trials and tribulations our young nation has faced and still continues to face.
This is the start of my 13th year of teaching in the district. I began my career teaching 4th grade at the Joseph T. Donahue Elementary School. Last year I continued my career here at RLHS and I have now made this my new home.
History has always sparked my interest since I was a little girl. I relished in the stories of the events and people that lived before me, the people who have paved the way to the world in which we live today. I hope to engage your child in the same feelings of wonder and curiosity.
This year we will travel back to some of the most exciting times in our nation's history, starting with the founding of the first presidential seat and ending with the divisive Civil War.
Lastly, communication is key! Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns that may arise. You can reach me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone at 609-660-7500.
