U.S. History I
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! This is a particularly special year for all of us as we are all experiencing major changes in our community as well as the world around us. We are all living through a historical time in (fittingly) history.
In continuing with the theme of "change," this is the start of my 12th year of teaching in the district. I began my career teaching 4th grade at the Joseph T. Donahue Elementary School. For the past 11 years it was my home away from home however, I am excited to start a new chapter in my new home here at RLHS.
History has always sparked my interest since I was a little girl. I relished in the stories of the events and people that lived before me, the people who have paved the way to the world in which we live today. I hope to engage your child in the same feelings of wonder and curiosity.
This year we will travel back to some of the most exciting times in our nation's history, starting with the founding of the first presidential seat and ending with the divisive Civil War.
Lastly, communication is key! Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns that may arise. You can reach me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone at 609-660-7500.
