• All About Mrs. Snell

    I am so excited to be teaching at the Horbelt School again this year!  Before coming to Horbelt, I previously taught 3-5 MD at CSCS, Grade 3 Inclusion at JTDS, and Basic Skills at CSCS.  I student taught at the Collins School in 4th grade in 2007, and then covered various maternity leaves at the middle school and Collins school before I was hired as a certified teacher in the district in January 2012.  

    I graduated from Georgian Court University where I     received my BA in English, and became certified to teach K-5 Elementary Education, 5-8 Science and Language Arts, and Special Education.  I earned my Master's Degree from Georgian Court in Special Education, with a certification in Autism.  Teaching is my passion, and it makes me so happy to wake up each day and be able to do what I love to do.

    A: Always excited to start the new school year.

    B: Blue is my favorite color.

    C: Colby Ryan is the name of my son, who was born on July 24, 2020

    D: Devils are my favorite hockey team.

    E: Excited to meet my new students.

    F: Flowers are my favorite hobby during the summer.  I love to garden.

    G: Georgian Court University is where I went to college for my bachelor's and master's degrees.

    H: Hockey is my favorite sport to watch; my husband plays hockey every weekend.

    I: Italy is a country I went to when I was 17.  Italian food is my favorite!

    J: January 10, 2015 was the day I was married.

    K: Kindness and respect are important to me.

    L: Love to read- Nicholas Sparks is my favorite author.

    M: My favorite animal is a giraffe.

    N: Nieces and nephews fill my heart.  

    O: One day I'll visit the Caribbean!

    P: Pascale was my maiden name.

    Q: Quick to help my family or a friend in need.

    R: Ryan is my husband's name.

    S: Super excited for fall- it is my favorite season.

    T: Teaching; I knew I wanted to be a teacher when I was in Kindergarten.  I am so happy to be living my childhood dream.

    U: Under a blanket on the couch with a book is my favorite place to be on a rainy day.

    V: Very happy to be part of the Horbelt family.

    X: eXit 67 is where I have lived my whole life.

    Y: Yorkshire Terrier is the breed of my dog, Roxi.  She will be 15 in November!

    Z: Zodiac Sign is Aquarius- my birthday is January 29.
