Coach Schmitz grew up in Barnegat, NJ, where she was a cheerleader since elementary school. She cheered for Brackman while in middle school, and went on to cheer for Barnegat High School's nationally ranked varsity competition team. Coach Schmitz took home two 3rd place medals at the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando, Florida as a Bengal. She is passionate about helping today's Brackman cheerleaders grow their skills and confidence to prepare for the competitive nature of high school cheerleading.

Soccer (Girls) - William Thorne
Coach Thorne moved to the Barnegat area after teaching and coaching in Bergen County for 11 years. Coach Thorne was the Hasbrouck Heights Boys Soccer Varsity Head Coach where he won numerous league titles, achieved #1 rankings for group 1 schools in North Jersey, won Group 1 and 2 "Best Small School Boys Soccer", and coached many athletes who went on to have successful careers. Before leaving the school Coach Thorne's team won the school's first outright league title and finished with the highest career winning percentage. Coach Thorne's teams set records in games won, goals scored, goals allowed, and won games in the state and county tournaments.Coach Thorne also served as the Boys Assistant Tennis Coach where he coached alongside one of the best coaches in North Jersey. The team's won league and tournament titles.Coach Thorne played soccer in college and spent 3 years playing the sport after his college graduation in the Cosmopolitan Soccer League. Coach Thorne is thrilled to have the opportunity to coach in the Barnegat District and hopes, above all, to bring a passion for the game to all of his players.

Wrestling - Joseph Treen
My name is Joseph Treen. I am an experienced wrestler (HSHS '13) and rugby player (Wash. State U 2018/2019) with over 15 years of knowledge. Wrestling is a sport like no other. I understand the hard work and dedication that is required to be successful on the mat. I aim to motivate all students to work to the best of their ability and beyond. As a certified personal trainer, I can safely guide athletes through exercises utilizing techniques taught through AAAI and ISMA.
