Mr. T. Blake Fabian
Welcome to 8th Grade Science
2023-2024 School Year
Good day to everyone....I am looking forward to meeting all of you and spending a year of fulfillment in the areas of Physical, Life, and Earth Sciences. This combination of sciences will give you, the student, a well rounded version of science principles so that you can apply them in your future. I love science, the progress we make on a daily basis, and the fact that science is always changing.
We will explore some current events together and see just how science works in our everyday lives.
Thank you for the opportunity and I look forward to our time together.
Ever wonder what sound really is? Can we measure it? Can you figure out what makes a two-way mirror? Ever wonder why we look like we do? How can scientists put a date on soil, artifacts, and bones? What is light made of? How can we manipulate light in our favor? Can we measure waves? Are ocean waves and microwaves the same? How alike are our chromosomes compared with other mammals? Other animals?
Let's explore..... Inquiring minds want to know....
