Mrs. Alison Greco, School Counselor

My Name is Mrs. Alison Greco and I am the 7th grade School Counselor. I will be working alongside Mrs. Angela Wyckoff, the 8th grade School Counselor. Some of you may already know me. This will be my 21st year working in Barnegat Township School District.  I am very excited to be joining the Brackman family!

My goal is to support ALL students academically, socially, and emotionally.  I enjoy watching students learn about themselves and learning valuable lessons on how to navigate life at any age level. Throughout my career I always believed in forming positive relationships with families, staff and administration to help ensure the success of my students.

A counselor's role is not to supply a diagnosis or therapy but instead, to provide support to help students overcome issues that are impacting their success. If I feel a problem is more serious or requires longer-term care, I am happy to provide resources for you.

I am looking forward to meeting my students. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Mrs. Angela Wyckoff, School Counselor

8th grade Counselor

Class of 2026.

Hello everyone!

My name is Angela Wyckoff and I am the 8th grade counselor for the Russell O. Brackman Middle School.

School Counselors help all students:

-apply academic achievement strategies

-manage emotions and apply interpersonal skills

-provide individual student academic planning and goal setting

-collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families for student success

-advocate for students

-act as a systems change agent to help improve equity and access, achievement and opportunities for all students

School counselors are all about helping to make your school experience the best it can be. The role of the school counselor has evolved and changed over the years. Instead of just focusing on schoolwork and careers, today's counselors are there for students in a broader way. They help students handle almost any problem that might get in the way of learning, guide students to productive futures, and try to create a positive environment for everyone at school. So if you need to speak with the counselor about anything, just ask!
