**NO WRESTLING PRACTICE FOR “A” WRESTLERS-GO HOME AFTER SCHOOL

**Yesterday the Barnegat Boys Basketball team defeated Manchester by a score of 43-40.  

Chance Joseph led the charge with 16 points, 3 rebounds and 3 steals.  Justin Fitzpatrick scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 assists.  Kian Buenaventura scored 8, and Myles Joseph scored 6 points.  

**In the "B" game, Barnegat won 37-33.  Brian Gallagher led the way with 9 points and 4 steals. Vinny Santos added 8 points and Sean Bivins scored 7.

**Girls basketball traveled to Manchester and leave with a split. A team battled but we're just outperformed by the division leader. B team avenge their early season loss with a hard fought victory. Notable players Perelena McTigue 6 pts 3 steals, Sierra Parrot 4 pts, 3 steals, Elayna Ordonez 7 pts 2 blocks, Brooke Rizzo  6 rebounds 3 steals

**The Ocean County Department of Health is sponsoring a Public Health Awareness poster contest. The middle school category is "Communicable Disease or Immunizations"

The deadline for the poster contest is Thursday, March 21st. Submissions are due to Ms. Gianni no later than this date. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 posters from student submissions throughout Ocean County. If you are interested, please see Ms. Gianni in room S225 for more information.
