    Course Description: Guitar Workshop is an introductory course for the student who has an interest in learning to play the guitar, but may or may not have had prior musical experience. During the course, students learn basic music theory and different styles of guitar playing. Guitars are provided for all students. By the end of the semester, students have a basic understanding of guitar playing, which enables them to continue playing on their own outside of school. This is an introductory course and may not be suitable for students who have prior experience with the guitar.

     

    SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR GUITAR CLASS:

    • Guitars: Guitars will be provided for student use, and will be kept in class. Students who have personal guitars may keep them at home for personal practice.  Students are expected to take care of their guitars, guitar picks, guitar cases, textbooks, and all classroom equipment used in this class. Any damage to any guitar instruments/equipment in class will result in paying a fine to cover the replacement cost of the damaged item(s).
